Fondazione Fotografia, Modena, Italia. 2016

Awarded of the European Photography Award 2015, the series Geography is but a secondary attribute, was exhibited at the Fondazione Fotografia in Modena, Italy. 

This exhibition assembled the work of international students shortlisted for the European Photography Award, an annual event established to recognise some of the best photography students in Europe.
The students of the Fondazione Fotografia participate in this contest along with colleagues from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, Fachhochschule, Bielefeld, Germany, Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam, Royal College of Art, London and Zurcher Hochschule der Kunste, Zurich.

Art fundraiser organized by Let’s get free, a women and trans prisoner defense committee based in Pittsburgh, PA. Every year, Let’s get free organize a collaborative art show in effort to raise funds for their basic needs.

For this art auction, with the support of Let’s get free, I developed a photographic correspondence with five people incarcerated in Pennsylvania. They accepted to share their perceptive on what liberation means. Which situations, images or feelings express their idea of liberation? What photograph would they do from outside the prison? Which photographs would they like to receive? In the summer of 2018, following our correspondence I sent print photographs to each person. Physical mail such as photographs and letters  was banned from Pennsylvania prisons in shortly after. Prints of this project were donated for the 2018 Let’s get free art fundraiser.
